WAN Load Balancing
Vigor300B offers WAN throughput up to 1 Gbps, there are 4 Gigabit Ethernet
WAN port for either load balance or failover applications, up to 2 3G/4G USB
modems can be attached to the USB ports to add additional cellular
connectivity. Up to 6 physical WAN connections can be active simultaneously
to provide a high-performance as well as high-availability network, these
make Vigor300B a perfect gateway for a network with web servers or data
Inbound Load Balancing
While acting as an authoritative DNS server, VIgor300B can also perform
inbound load balancing to distribute the incoming connection requests across
multiple WAN links to the server behind Vigor300B, thus to provide load
balancing as well as failover for the inbound connections.
Local Network Management
The 2 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports of Vigor300B provides high-speed
connectivity for the servers and PCs on the local network, and the support
of Virtual LAN (VLAN) allows you to separate the local network into
different logical domains thus to increase the security and network
efficiency, and each VLAN can use a unique IP subnet. As for IP assignment
for the LAN clients, except for the commonly-used DHCP, Vigor300B also
supports being a PPPoE server to provide independent connections between
the LAN hosts and Vigor300B over a multiple-access network.
Bandwidth management feature can help you to make the most of out of the
available bandwidth. You may set up Bandwidth Limit or Session Limit to
restrict the maximum bandwidth or session number that a host can use, thus
to prevent the bandwidth and the router's resources being occupied by a
single host. Quality of Service (QoS) allows you to reserve a certain amount
of bandwidth for the critical clients or time-sensitive applications, and
ensure their connection quality when traffic is heavy.
